Etsy Product Description Template
- Introduce the product with 1-2 sentences including the most important information. Tell audiences exactly what it is that your listing is for. Include your most important keywords here. Remember, keywords don’t have to be a single word, they can be 2-3 words. Read more on Etsy keywords here.
- 1-2 sentences with more detailed information. Choose something that makes your product unique, like how it is handmade, what processes or materials you use, or why they will love it. You could explain any available options here such as colourways. This is also a good place to include 1-2 of your keywords, but only if they can slot in without looking too forced. It must read nicely.
- List your product dimensions and materials.
- 1-2 sentences about any available extras or freebies. If you offer a gift wrapping service, a printing service or perhaps you include a helpful product care guide with your item, let your customers know what you offer. If you always add a free postcard, stickers or other freebie, tell people!
- Finish up with a shameless plug for your other items! This is your opportunity to mention what else you offer and you can include some of your keywords here. This is your call to action, or CTA. For example, ‘Be sure to take a look at my other listings for more handmade ceramic gifts’.
